Toxic Sludge is Good for You

We watched the film Toxic Sludge is Good for You and discussed the fact that marketing, advertising and public relations are all forms of propaganda.  The film offered examples of when and how propaganda has been used, especially to promote support for war or military intervention.  Propaganda in the United States is so embedded in culture that we don’t notice that it is there, much
less the influence it has on our lives.

For this week's blog post, you are asked to choose one political proposition or piece of legislation that has been proposed in the past two weeks and try to trace it back to who is funding and benefitting from it.  You need to be particularly critical and resourceful for this week's challenge.
